Winner Hardware AV/VR/AR Robotics BETT 2022!!
A real programmable robot with character!
Marty is the best value-for-money humanoid robot on the market! The unique walking mechanism means Marty can walk, turn, dance, kick a ball and more, while being more stable and robust than other walking robots, because each limb is controlled by specific motors.
Humanoid robots are the most exciting tool for making STEM learning engaging for all students. Marty is designed for educators and learners, is simple to use, robust and yet still state of the art. And Marty can walk, dance and eyebrow-wiggle like no rolling robot can. The unique walking mechanism means Marty can also turn, kick a ball and more, while being more stable than other walking robots because each limb is controlled by specific motors (9 in total).
The New Marty V2 makes learning about robotics and coding fun and engaging. Build your Marty, program in languages from simple blocks in Scratch to Python and beyond, learn about sensors, and expand your robot.
Marty comes with extensive technical support from our dedicated team, and an ever-growing set of curriculum-linked lessons and activities suitable for beginners, intermediate and advanced coders.
Each Marty the Robot V2 includes color sensor, motion sensor, two obstacle sensors, two ground sensors, speaker, charging cable, ping-pong ball, sticker sheets, and a zipper storage case.
NEW FEATURES OF MARTY
- AI/Machine Learning: Now, Marty can teach children as young as 10 years old about AI and Machine Learning, making the concepts more accessible.
- Languages and Translation: Marty's cross-curricular potential has expanded with the ability to translate in over 40 languages. Click here to hear Marty speak.
- Sensor Dashboard: Our Sensor Dashboard allows users to visualize and interact with data collected from Marty's sensors, providing a user-friendly way for students to monitor and analyze data in real-time. Watch a short video here.
- Student-Led Learning: We've developed student-led resources to promote independent learning in classrooms, like these coding activity cards.
- Improved Speaker: Marty now comes equipped with larger, louder speakers, ensuring that even in the most lively classrooms, students can hear Marty's voices, sounds, and music clearly.
- 'Show Code' - This functionality allows users of block-based program, MartyBlocks, to 'translate' their code into Python - to aid the transition from block- to text-based coding. To check it out, head to the MartyBlocks environment on our webapp and click on 'show code' at the top.
- Disco Martys - All Martys now come with Disco LED eyes, but the 'Disco' Martys come equipped with programmable LED arms and feet as well. Check out the Disco Marty Classpack product page and you can find the product images here.
- Math Materials - We've developed some math lessons, covering the math concepts in the document attached. There's strong evidence to suggest that coding improves performance in math-related subjects. Here are some ways to show how.
Our mission is to ignite a passion for learning
In conceiving Marty the Robot, Dr Alexander (Sandy) Enoch’s objective was to create a real, human-like robot that his niece could use to make learning the basics of coding more like child’s play and less like hard work.
Putting his inventor skills to use, Sandy designed and built a walking, dancing, eyebrow-wiggling robot that got his niece’s seal of approval. Since then, Robotical has sold over 7,000 robots that can be found in over 65 countries around the world, moving and grooving to Scratch and Python.
